Interface is a source of quality precision force sensor technologies used throughout the product lifecycle from concept and R&D, through engineering and testing, to manufacturing and eventually consumption. We supply force measurement solutions for use in equipment, machines, tools, and integration into actual products to measure performance and use. We even provide products to accurately measure and monitor hardware used in CPG distribution. Interface load cells and instrumentation help CPG product designers and fabricators drive usability, adoption, production efficiencies, and ensure safety to satisfy the needs of all types of consumers.
There are a variety of problems to be solved when it comes to product design, testing, and development. It is often what inspires the next generation of a product or revolutionary new idea.
Consumer products are made across all types of industries, from healthcare to automotive. Interface force measurement solutions are used to predict failure and identify design challenges before these goods enter the public domain. It is hard to imagine any consumer product not going through rigorous test and measurement protocols before someone finds it in the marketplace. From testing furniture to ensuring your household appliances are safe and durable, Interface’s sensor measurement technologies have a critical role in a variety of types of testing in the creation and manufacturing of everyday goods.
Manufacturing CPG’s
Interface force measurement solutions are commonplace in R&D labs, design houses, manufacturing environments and even packaging plants for consumer goods. For industrial robotic arms, measurement of force and torque when an arm lifts items, and places them down again is one example of how sensors improve performance in the manufacturing process of final goods. An industrial automation engineer wanted to ensure the robotic arm would operate efficiently and actually improve the packaging process. Interface created a custom solution using our 6A40 6-Axis Load Cell, which was installed at the wrist of the robotic arm. The 6A40 was able to measure all forces and torques (Fx, Fʏ, Fz, Mx, Mʏ, Mz). This load cell was connected to our BX8 8-Channel Data Acquisition System and Amplifier with BlueDAQ Software, where results were displayed, logged, and graphed for monitoring.
Interface remains the leader in load cell and torque transducer accuracy and quality, and we have no plans to change our focus. Interface’s specialty is building solutions for the testing and monitoring of parts and total systems that move and create force is vital to makers and designers of consumer product goods. This is necessary when producing final products and consumer goods across all industries. Our force measurement solutions are ideal for stand-along testing rigs, production equipment, as well as embedded in consumer products to increase operability and reliability for end users.
Fitness equipment manufacturers are installing sensors of all types into their equipment to measure various forces and provide fitness data to the user, trainers, physical therapists, and doctors to monitor movement and actions.
Interface’s load cells, torque transducers, multi-axis sensor and instrumentation are currently utilized in the testing, production, and continuous monitoring of modern exercise equipment. Demand for instantaneous feedback by consumers is part of the requirement sensor-based systems that accurately measure weight, torque, and force in motion.
Interface Mini Load Cells are designed for easy integration into fitness equipment, for all phases from R&D to consumer use. The size, capacity and low cost provides a sensible OEM option to activate the equipment for real-time feedback and performance monitoring. The results are increased use, higher satisfaction by the user, accuracy in measurement, better feedback, increased quality, and enhanced safety features.
Types of Fitness Equipment Benefitting from Interface Measurement Solutions
The global fitness market requires a trusted and proven measurement solutions partner. The industry is looking at consistent growth over the next few years. The global fitness equipment market is estimated to be over $16B and growing at 5.3% CAGR from 2023 to 2030.
Interface load cells are being used to assess different running techniques and monitor the progress of rehabilitation exercise. Interface’s sensors provide accurate data for all types of user profiles in the fitness industry such as strength variability, weights, and distinct experience levels.
